While Secure Defense Consulting Inc. provides services to support Facility Security Officers (FSO), it’s important for clients to understand that outsourcing the Facility Security Officer (FSO) position is effectively forbidden by section 117.7 sub-section (b)(2)(ii) of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Organizations that recently received a facility security clearance (FCL) may also fail to realize that having a consultant remotely manage their employees’ security clearances in the JPAS Web site can get them into trouble.

In some cases our principal consultant can serve as your FSO or manage your personnel clearances in DISS remotely. But in those cases we are mindful to comply with the government’s requirements and restrictions. And in other cases we advise and assist our clients’ Facility Security Officers (FSOs) in directing their organizations’ security programs for the protection of classified national security information.
